Murder, suicide and the truth

A relative of the Browns is overcome with emotion at the crime scene.

Marcia Garrell sat in her room in Atlanta, USA, Thursday morning too stunned to move as news came from Jamaica that her mother, father, brother, and niece had been fatally shot, and her sister was battling for her life in hospital.

She derived little comfort from the news that the man who killed her family members - her brother-in-law - turned the gun on himself.

For Garrell, grief and sorrow quickly turn to anger, but the tears won't stop flowing, and the heartache leaves her numb.

In an interview with The Gleaner, she fires back, figuratively, at the man who ripped her world apart, and argues that Detective Corporal Wayne Llewellyn was a coward, and a heartless, calculating murderer.

Read the full details as Marcia Garrell bares her soul to senior reporter Arthur Hall in tomorrow's Sunday Gleaner.
