PORT MARIA, St Mary:
JEFFREY TOWN Health Centre in St Mary celebrated its one-year anniversary with a mini-health fair last week.
Blood-pressure checks, HIV and cancer screening, body-mass index, and immunisation were some of the free health services offered which saw scores of patrons turning out to access them.
In commemorating the anniversary of the Type I health facility, Parish Manager Dr Isaac Brown gave away prizes to individuals who could answer questions about the facility.
St Mary Health services recently launched its health month under the theme 'Be Alert, Disease Prevention Needs Your Attention'. Health Month will culminate with a staff fun day at Westmoreland Oval, Annotto Bay, on April 29.
