West Indies Home Contractors (WIHCON) and Alf Investments have signed a deal which will see housing solutions built in Kingston, Spanish Town in St Catherine, and Montego Bay in St James.

WIHCON chairman Peter Melhado and Alf director Robert Taylor announced the signing of the agreement yesterday.

"The combination of two experienced developers with an extensive land bank in fantastic locations creates an exciting future for us. This venture will allow us to continue our foray into higher-end solutions, similar to our current Mona project, as well as deepen the company's offering in our bread-and-butter segment of affordable homes," said Melhado in a press release.

At the same time, Taylor said "partnering with the leading provider of housing solutions is a unique opportunity for our group and allows participation across the full spectrum of the industry."

He added: "Our planned 40-town house development in Graham Heights will be first off the ground and embodies the venture's commitment to providing communities of safety, comfort and exceptional quality in great locations, at affordable prices."
