Claudette Crooks, financial analyst: I would like Mr Shaw to ensure that the revenue side of the Budget is fashioned to grow the economy and create more jobs.

Dennis Chung, financial analyst: I would like to hear the Government say that we are going to extend the targets of the IMF agreement.

John Jackson, financial analyst: I would like to hear that the Government is committed to a zero deficit by 2013 so that the economy can be put on the right track and move forward. There is no need to renegotiate any IMF agreement.

Paul Ashley, public-policy commentator: I would really want Audley Shaw to give some realism to the Jamaica Labour Party's manifesto where it is within his remit so to do. Ministries must now go solar.

Richard 'Dickie' Crawford, public policy commentator: I want Mr Shaw to tell the country that the Government of Jamaica is going to renegotiate the IMF agreement in order to take the excruciating pain that is being inflicted on the Jamaican people off them and to have a chance to move towards developing the economy.

Anne Shirley, financial analyst: I am not waiting to hear anything because this is becoming an almost fruitless exercise. We can't have a process where every year we get agitated but nothing happens. I would love to see something where the Government is going through an exercise looking to see where we could cut out energy inefficiencies.
