Congrats to Dr McDaniel
Dear Ms Thompson,
Congratulations on the very interesting and informative articles in The Gleaner Health pages on Wednesdays. I never fail to read them, and have gathered a wealth of useful information from them.
Please allow me to use this medium to congratulate Dr Dahlia McDaniel, who pens 'Pharmacy Works', on the attainment of her doctorate in public health in the field of pharmacology even while serving her clients very diligently. I, personally, have learnt a lot from reading her articles which are always so well researched and presented. The article, on herbs, published on April 13, 2011 was very pleasing to the eye.
In addition to her skills, Dr McDaniel is very thoughtful and kind to those she serves, going more than the extra mile to meet the needs of the elderly, shut-ins or otherwise disabled persons often sourcing scarce medications and personally delivering them to their doors.
She also encourages and assists clients to access health insurance benefits eg. Jamaica Drug for the Elderly Programme. National Health Fund, NI Gold, etc. She has a special place in her heart for clients living with HIV/AIDS. Again, congrats Dr McDaniel! continue the good work.
