PM off to Washington
Prime Minister Bruce Golding will lead Jamaica's delegation to the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) International Forum on Caribbean Investment and Development (IFCID) in Washington, DC, from June 5-10.
The event will provide a platform for representatives of the public sector, private sector, and non-governmental organisations to address issues affecting trade and access to finance for those doing business, or interested in doing business, in the Caribbean.
The IFCID will be a comprehensive conference on business and economic development in the Caribbean, providing participants with a critical mix of business networking and policy dialogue.
During the prime minister's absence, Minister of Finance and the Public Service Audley Shaw will be in charge of the Government from Sunday, June 5, to Wednesday, June 8.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Ken Baugh will be in charge from Wednesday, June 8, to Friday, June 10. The delegation returns to the island on Friday, June 10.
