Jampet goes after Custos Nembhard's goods
AN ORDER was made yesterday in the Supreme Court for the seizure and sale of goods belonging to the Custos of St Elizabeth Wilfred Nembhard, who runs Nembhard's Service Centre in Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth, to recover an outstanding debt of $130.5 million.
Attorney-at-law Sean Kinghorn applied for the order on behalf of Superlube Ltd, which trades as Jampet.
The money is for goods supplied by Jampet for which payment has been owing since 2008.
Last month Superlube obtained a judgement against Nembhard in the Supreme Court.
The judgement has not been satisfied and an application was made for a writ of seizure and sale to recover the outstanding sum.
The writ of seizure and sale will be given to the bailiff who will take steps to recover the money or seize and sell goods belonging to Nembhard and his business.
The debt is $130.5 million but with interest now amounts to $146 million.
