Suspect held in Frankfield triple murder
The police have arrested a man in connection with yesterday's slaying of three young men in Frankfield, Clarendon.
The men were hacked to death in Andrew Hill, approximately one mile from the Frankfield town centre.
Dead are 17-year-old Kenroy 'Michie' Carty, 22-year-old Roland 'Dadda' Thomas and Andrew Fowler. The Frankfield police are theorising the three were killed in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Leroy Minott said the Frankfield police respond to a call around six o'clock and upon arrival found the youth chopped to death.
"Right now we (police) don't have any conclusive motive for this gruesome triple murder, but we are following a couple of leads at the moment," said Minott.
He also said the police believe the killing might be in retaliation for an incident that took place in Frankfield last Saturday, in which a man's neck was slashed.
Steve Carty, Kenroy Carty's father, said though his son was a very quiet young man, "he doesn't listen".
"I keep warning Kenroy to get out of company, but him don't listen. See what happen to him now," Carty said.
Last night the police said the identity of the suspect arrested was being withheld pending further investigations.
