Board appointments
Cabinet has approved appointments to boards of the Anti-Dumping and Subsidies Commission (ADSC), the Standards Council - Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) and the Companies Office of Jamaica (COJ) advisory board.
Members will serve for two years from September 1, 2011 to August 31, 2013.
Those appointed to the board of the ADSC are attorney-at-law Mr Wentworth Charles, chairman; Dr Velma Brown Hamilton, Ms Hyacinth Lightbourne, Ms Sandra Shirley and Mr Errol Lewin.
Information Minister Daryl Vaz said 14 persons have been appointed to the Standards Council - BSJ board.
They are: Dr Artnel Henry, chairman, and Mrs Andrene Collings, vice-chair. Other members are: Mr Noel Dacosta, Mrs Joyce Campbell, Ms Tova Hamilton, Mr Wade Mars, Ms Rachael McDonald, Mr Noel Osbourne, Mr Colin Virgo, Mr Nigel Chen See, Mr Matthew Zaidie, Mr Errol Gallimore, Dr Marc Panton and Mr David Lowe.
Members asked to serve on the advisory board of the COJ are: Mr Peter Goldson, chairman; Mrs Ethlyn Norton-Coke, Ms Grace Lindo, Mr Philmore Ogle, Mrs Grace McKoy, Mr Donovan Walker, Mrs Dawn Williams, Ms Tracey Ann Long and Mrs Judith Ramlogan as ex-officio member.
