The Gleaner's Lifestyle team thanks the Guardsman Group for graciously donating its beautifully landscaped headquarters to host Flair's 27th anniversary party - FLAIRTATIOUS. We could not have done it without you.

We also use this opportunity to thank Commissioner of Police Owen Ellington, and Mayor Desmond McKenzie, as well as Matilda's Corner and Half-Way Tree police stations, Jean Lowrie-Chin and Sheila Benjamin-McNeill for their kind cooperation and assistance.

The Guardsman Group is the Caribbean's leading security-services provider. The conglomerate exemplifies the right combination of personnel, training and management, which has made it the first choice among corporate and residential clients in need of proven effective security solutions.

Established in 1977, Guardsman's principal activities centred on the training and rental of guard dogs to various security companies in need of canine protection services. The company soon expanded its service offering with the addition of armed and unarmed guards for corporate and residential clients.

Today, the Guardsman Group of Companies has grown to a total of 12 companies and engages more than 6,000 persons. They include: Guardsman Limited, Guardsman Armoured Limited, Marksman, Guardsman Alarms, Guardsman Elite, Nature's Paradise, Gymkhana and Orkin Chemicals.

All proceeds from Flairtatious will go to Mary's Child, a home for pregnant teens operated by the Mustard Seed Community.
