Sugar & Spice pastries has opened its fifth shop on Constant Spring Road, Kingston.

Operations Manager Roger Chang said the company invested J$30 million in setting up the 2,500-square-foot shop.

It will carry a similar line of products, including Tastee patties and pastries.

Sugar and Spice has been in existence for some 40 years. It was started by David and Elaine Chang.

The new shop was opened on November 1, with plans to build a drive-in for the Barbican shop next year.

The operations manager also said a sixth shop is planned, but a location is still being sought.

"We are looking at Portmore and other places in Kingston, but the location is not yet identified," said Chang.

"If we find the right location, we may also consider going outside of Kingston," he said.

Sugar and Spice has outlets at Red Hills Road, Manor Park Plaza, and Old Hope Road, as well as Constant Spring Road.
