POEM OF THE WEEK
Becoming? Unbecoming?
I discovered that the shape of my heart
Has changed and I am no longer who I used to be
I discovered that the fascinating things, or so I thought
Now have all the fascination of moss growing on trees
I am lost inside myself changing changeling?
What's happening? Am I:
Growing? Freaking? Dying?
Evolving? Seeking? Lying?
Standing in a whirlwind is not an easy thing
It's confusing and worrisome Am I supposed to stay the same
Or continue to become?

I am special
No longer the observer, for I am caught in my observation
I have become the object of her eyes' affection
What does she see when she stares at me?
Sometimes she stares so deeply
I think she sees the heart of me
She awaits my smile, the blush I cannot hide
"That's it," she said "I like to see that smile"
Feeling self-conscious
In my silence I try to hide
Still I cannot resist her piercing eyes
Again, I have to smile
She thinks I am special but her deductions are lies
At least that's what I think
Wish I could see through her eyes
Mirrors show only my reflection or maybe what I think of self
Told her girls make me happy but she doesn't know
She is at the top of the list
Told her girls make me happy but she doesn't know
Right now, a list does not exist
I wait to tell the truth, to observe if she can be my sun
Though already, she prevents me from seeing all other stars
Others say she is a star, she shines on stage
Demanding the attention of every human ear
Still to hear her performance, yet she has already caught my attention
She has seduced me with her heart's vibration
She shows me her beauty, which others only hear
Presently she is ill and my heart feels the same
My heart longs to feel the warmth of her penetrating stare
Maybe I am special because I see how special she is.

Secret
Hear the gossip
The truth, the lie, the evil
The truth in what you do
When you hear but don't tell back
You lie when you are jealous
Inside you hate as a matter of fact
Yet you'd like to convince yourself
That it's just an act
Evil covers your mind
You're spreading rumours
You're asked to produce the proof
But you are not one of the losers.
