BMW dealer joins UBT&R sponsors line-up
Managers of the Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records sports bar said they have secured a multimillion-dollar sponsorship deal with local BMW dealer Stewart's Automotive amid its upcoming listing on the Junior Stock Exchange.
As part of the deal, Stewart's has been allowed to brand a section of the bar as 'The M Lounge', with BMW logo and themed seats. The M Lounge reflects the name of BMW's sports performance models.
"It is a multi-year sponsorship valued in the millions of Jamaican dollars. It is a good harmony for both brands," said Kingston Live Entertainment (KLE) partner Kevin Bourke. "We have sponsors including Diageo, Wray & Nephew, Digicel and now we've added BMW."
The branded lounge was launched last Tuesday night.
"M for BMW is the most powerful letter in the alphabet. We deem it a natural fit," said general manager of Stewart's Automotive, Duncan Stewart, at the launch.
ultimate driving machine
"BMW is the ultimate driving machine and Tracks & Records is the ultimate entertainment machine."
Bourke continues to remain mum on the amount the Tracks & Records expects to raise on the junior market but said the listing should happen before yearend. Bourke continued to stress that Bolt's name will remain on the masthead of the restaurant.
KLE's ventures include Tracks and Records and Fiction nightclub. Its principals include Bourke, David and Stephen Shirley, Gary and Tina Matalon, Craig Powell and Zuar Jarrett.
