Fabulous hats and polo

WESTERN BUREAU:
A very appreciative crowd turned out on Sunday to the Chukka Hanover charities polo and car show.
While the figures are not yet in, it is expected that the charities will benefit greatly from the 27 sponsors.
Of the games played among Billy Craig Insurance aggregation and Scotiabank Private Banking Team, and ATL Automotive team against the Ralph Lauren team, Billy Craig edged their opponents by five and a half to five whereas ATL Automotive clipped Ralph Lauren by four to three.
Jason Wates was the most valuable player (MVP) for the first game with Andy Vernon winning the MVP in the second. Wates is the consummate professional who teaches the skill, and is also a student under world-renowned United States player Julio Arellano.
While there were exciting plays on the field, the women in the crowd garnered much of the attention in some of the most creative and eye-catching hats ever.
Feathers and colours and fabulousness ruled the stands.
Noticeable among the hats were Consul General Geneive Brown Metzger, politician Karl Samuda and James Robertson, who also played.
