The Western Hospitality Institute was incorrectly identified as a major sponsor of the Culinary Federation of Jamaica's cook-off. The major sponsors of the event were The Best Dressed Chicken and L & M Meats.

Cardell Anderson tops CFJ cook-off
Trainee chef Cardell Anderson of Runaway Bay Heart emerged top chef in the Culinary Federation of Jamaica's (CFJ) cook-off. The cook-off took place during the CFJ's fun day at Cardiff Hall Beach in Runaway Bay, St Ann, last Sunday.
Anderson prepared a dish of mashed pumpkin and Irish potato cake with seared chicken breast stuffed with sausage, to finish on 176 points, two ahead of Eron Thwaites who finished second, and third-place Odane Kerr (170.5), both of Montego Bay Community College. Shaneica Case of Good Ole Days Restaurant in Ocho Rios finished fourth from a field of nine contestants.
The fun day was for CFJ members, relatives and close friends, with several students of the institutions participating. The Best Dressed Chicken and L & M Meats was a major sponsor.
Students who participated in the cook-off were: Akeeno Clarke, Tiffany Brown, Eron Thwaites, Kimone Heedram, Clinton Coleman and Odane Kerr, Cardell Anderson and Tiffany Grant, also from HEART Runaway Bay.
