The four men accused of killing a Salt Spring, St James resident in February are to return to court on October 11, as the ballistic report is still outstanding from the case file.
Sheldon Russell of Salt Spring along with his brothers Clyde and Nesta Morlese of Patty Hill in Hanover, and Damaine Samuels are charged jointly before the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court with the shooting death of Rodell Hall.
Hall was allegedly gunned down after the taxi in which he was a passenger was ambushed about 2:10 a.m. along the Salt Spring route on February 4.
It is said that when the gunmen ordered the passengers out of the car, Hall attempted to escape but was chased and shot, and he was later pronounced dead at the Cornwall Regional Hospital.
When the case was mentioned on Monday, the prosecution revealed that the ballistic report would be ready for its file within another six weeks.
Resident Magistrate Vivienne Harris subsequently extended the bail of the four accused men until October 11, and bound over the investigating officer to come to court with the report.
