A great dining experience
Hidden behind the walls of Pulse's Villa Ronai nestled in Stony Hill, Majestic Sushi & Grill creates a reclusive ambience for sushi lovers. Recently, Restaurant Week ambassador Danielle Crosskill had a unique dining experience with beau Adrien Lemaire.
The best part of the night for the couple was the 'food-good' thing because, after all, it is Restaurant Week. Their palates were excited by the marinated hamachi, red dragon roll, fiction roll, and shrimp tempura. Jelly fish salad and the fire roll topped off their meal, with dessert of fried cheesecake and ice cream.
According to Crosskill: "We love, love, love sushi. We love the raw ones and we love the cooked ones, because for me, it's so fresh-tasting and always satisfies."
For our ambassador, the overall experience was just amazing with the great ambience and out-of-this-world décor.
"When I'm at Majestic, I actually feel like I'm away from Kingston and transported to another place. They have really managed to capture that really great ambience here," she said. According to Lemaire, "I love the background music that these guys have. It's great dinner music and very tasteful, complementing the ambience of the place. All the elements have come together to make a really nice setting."
At the end of the night, Lemaire conceded, "I had a good time. The food was amazing and the décor complemented how well-prepared the food is. André, the waiter, was excellent, providing us with great wine and impeccable service ensuring that, undoubtedly, we will be visiting again."
Crosskill loves the fact that the eatery is nestled in the hills outside of the hustle and bustle of Kingston.
Food is an experience and Crosskill shares that she's a lover of travelling because she gets to try new food and new cultures.
Although Lemaire is the cook in the relationship, the pair has worked out a schedule since he comes from a long lineage of great French cooks. "Food is part of an experience that we enjoy. Food is art, food is love, food is entertainment, food is everything," he said.
