Great food with a special touch

Perfect food for those on the go, Pita Grill's sliders are ideal for a quick bite.

Known for its wraps, sandwiches and deli food, Pita Grill is offering up two types of sliders on its Nyam and Scram menu in this year's Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week. The Philly cheese steak sliders and the chicken cheese steak sliders are miniature sandwiches, which are compact almost-bite-size portions.

"This is a new item we're launching for Restaurant Week," explained Managing Director Ray Hanna.

The sandwiches, which are done to order, besides beef or chicken strips, are filled with onions, sweet peppers and cheddar cheese. Although fuss-free, the sandwiches are given special touches with certain elements.

"We place them on a bun we bake fresh every day," said Hanna.

From its Nyam and Scram menu, patrons will choose between either two chicken or two Philly cheese steak sliders accompanied by fries.
