Thursday talk

Published:Thursday | April 25, 2013 | 12:00 AM

Mike problem

1. No one in officialdom is amused and some are calling for even stricter physical restrictions to be placed on those from the Fourth Estate going around poking microphones in the face of officials in their search for sound bites.

Protest action

2. Some are asking if the 'man-a-yaad' prime-time speech was boycotted by some of his political colleagues after pictures circulated of him speaking to empty chairs on his side.

Mob rule?

3. Some pundits are saying if the PM were to give in to all those calling for Richard Azan's head, then it would be tantamount to giving into mob rule and would be denying him the basic principle on which our jurisprudence is built - innocent until proven otherwise.

Vulgar behaviour

4. Colleagues of the vulgar one out west are calling on the head of the organisation he represents to control him. They say such cheap and vulgar behaviour has no place in the public discourse.

Crucify them!

5. The question for many is: If Richard Azan is to be crucified for breaching building codes, then some say the two, who both ignored building codes, should also be crucified as, to date, nothing has been done about these transgressions.
