1. Some people are saying if the collapse of the financial sector were handled differently fewer dollars would have been repatriated to faraway places and Jamaica's balance-of-payment problems would be half as grave with the result that some indigenous institutions would have been salvaged.

2. So it's true what they say - a little learning can be dangerous. And it applies to a variety of courses, including what some derisively refer to as correspondence courses. It seems some people now hold themselves out as experts on all manner of things - legal or otherwise.

3. Tongues are wagging about the ambitious board member who apparently has derailed the process seeing an opportunity for himself to be anointed. And being a good and faithful follower, he is gathering some powerful ones in his corner. Listen for the announcement.

4. Nothing is wrong with the high official buying a Lotto ticket - no ticket no chance, as they say. It is way better to depend on a game of chance than on someone whose bribe could mean selling one's soul. Nevertheless, many eyebrows were raised in surprise when the individual joined that long line.
