Summer camp!

The heat is on and, before you know it, your children will be rushing out of the classrooms, never to return, for the long, hot summer. It's your job to keep them learning, so The Gleaner is identifying some productive-but-fun summer camps to keep them learning while having fun. Check out these options:

Fundaciones Summer Camp

Fundaciones Summer Camp is a Spanish camp for children four to 11 years old. Your child will be taught the Spanish language and culture through movement, music, art and craft. The camp is available in both Kingston and Montego Bay.

Date: Mondays-Fridays, July 1-August 9

Time: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Nishida's Gymnastics

Allow your child to begin a new extra-curricular activity while remaining physically active. Nishida's Gymnastics is offering dynamic gymnastics and dance routines that will keep children on their toes.

Date: Mondays-Thursdays, July 1-August 22 (holidays not included)

Time: 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. (7:30 a.m. drop off)

Location: 1B Washington Boulevard, Kingston

Price: Ranges from $5,000 to $30,000, depending on number of weeks attended. Discounts are available based on the package selected.

Sanaa Studios

Intimate art-and-craft sessions tailored for pottery lovers and jewellery makers. The classes are limited to six persons.

Date: Second week of July to end of August

Moorlands Summer Camp

Moorlands will host seven camps this summer. Dates and fees are in the table below.

Online registration began on May 6. In order to avoid the last-minute rush, you can visit their registration site.

Once registration opens, you may add your camper to the camp for his/her age group and complete registration with payment. If you have any questions, please email at registration@moorlandscamp.com or call 964-6418 between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday-Friday.
