The Venetian Room a the Terra Nova All Suite Hotel was a myriad of colours at the Heart Foundation's Go Red for Women High Tea on Wednesday.

Though some didn't stick to the colour code, their 'heart' was certainly in the right place as they came out to support the worthy cause. With a silent auction that included many fabulous prizes running the gamut from weekend for two to day passes to some of the island's best resorts, to spa treatments, the women in attendance made sure they brought their large purses.

Being greeted with a glass of champagne upon arrival courtesy of Wray and Nephew set the stage for an afternoon full of prizes and surprises. You could win a prize if yesterday was your birthday, or by sitting in the right place. Heather Grant and her metallic nails were in their element as she functioned as master of ceremonies for the evening.

But it was an evening about protecting our hearts, as heart disease is still ranked as the number-one killer of women. To help spread this message is the Heart Foundation's first ambassador, Thalia Lyn. And then there was the big celebration for Kelli-Ann Blissett-Madden who, with the help of the Heart Foundation, lost a whopping 115 lb.
