Last Saturday, members of staff and guests of Couples Swept Away and residents of Negril formed a human line in the sand on the Negril beach in observance of Hands Across the Sand, a worldwide protest against the expansion of oil drilling in coastal areas across the world. The Jamaica leg of the event was held at the Long Bay Beach in Negril. People across the world formed human lines on beaches at 11 a.m. last Saturday for a 15-minute period to mark the occasion. - Photo by Claudia Gardner
