Sumfest 21 officially launched

Now celebrating its 21st anniversary, Reggae Sumfest kicks off on Sunday, July 21, with a beach party at the Aquasol Theme Park in Montego Bay. In celebrating the milestone, college students across the island are being offered a 20 per cent discount on ticket prices to the festival dubbed 'The Greatest Reggae Show on Earth', Reggae Sumfest 2013.
Announced by Summerfest Production's chairman, Robert Russell, at the launch in Montego Bay on Tuesday night, students with valid identification from the University of the West Indies, University of Technology, The Mico University College, Northern Caribbean University and University College of the Caribbean, all qualify for the discount.
Speaking to the media, sponsors and supporters at the Iberostar Suites, Russell said the students may register for discounted tickets via Reggae Sumfest online ticket partners ww.touchtix.net.
Tickets may also be purchased online with a credit card, or payment may be remitted to the Acropolis Gaming Lounge in Barbican or any Bill Express location islandwide - after the registration process is complete.
The event ends on Saturday, July 27, after three nights at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex.
