Kingston Kitchen #tbt foodie highlights
This time last year, Kingston Kitchen was preparing for its 50th anniversary celebration, with all the local favourites in the food emporium. Jamaican food is so vibrant and authentic, being an intrinsic part of our culture, and something that draws all Jamaicans together. So today, in honour of Throwback Thursdays (#tbt) we are sharing with you a few memories from last year's Kingston Kitchen in anticipation of the next week Saturday, August 24 staging at Hope Gardens.
Kingston Kitchen is an artisan open-air food court and food market series that highlights the local culinary talents of Jamaica, as well as offers a wonderful family day out. The general idea is to integrate local chefs, restaurateurs, food-makers, caterers, shoppers, foodies, and families in a culinary destination, creating an environment that shows Jamaicans that they can eat affordably, exciting, local and fresh.
The Gleaner has decided to hop on board as exclusive print sponsors of this premium food event, and so this year things can only get better. Our pages will be filled with family foodie moments prior to and after the event.
