A wild hog jerked to perfection, curried goat cooked with love and roasted breadfruit paired with avocado were just half of the authentic Jamaican spread that André Hylton used to endorse his birthday.
The Eastern St Andrew member of parliament selected the fabulous, off-the-beaten-track, Holywell National Park in the mountains to celebrate his special day last Saturday morning.
The merriment, which started at 10 a.m. with breakfast as the first meal, went straight into a nightcap Sunday morning for the over 100 family members and friends who turned out for a 'bashment' with the affable politician.
It was an unforgettable soirée that saw Hylton and his friends taking over the log cabins, some making a weekend of the event.
The beauty of this once-upon-a-lifetime celebration was complemented by the Holywell environment, which offered a platter of experiences, including sunshine, mist, rain, and even chills.
As the temperature dropped in the hills, DJ Jess Innerarity responded with a warmth that only ska and reggae are known to bring to revellers.
Innerarity mixed the music of the land with disco, soul and R&B, bringing the party to life among people renowned for having fun.
