It was the last hurrah as many ended the summer with a bang at the finger-licking final food fest for the season last Friday night.

Beating the traffic, food lovers made their way up to Hopefield Avenue for the 'all-you-can-eat' event, Rib, Roast and Rum.

With smoky sweet scents filling the air, faithful attendees, first-timers, families and friends came out to indulge in gourmet dishes prepared the Jamaican way.

With a choice of ribs, jerk pork, jerk chicken, roast fish, burgers, salads, pastas, soups, even oysters and, of course, desserts, there was something for everyone.

Music varied from house to hip hop, and dancehall, and Alhambra Inn Grill and Chill stepped up their game by placing a projector on the outskirts of their tents, for patrons to play sports and dance up a storm on their Nintendo Wii games.

Many rested their weary feet and watched the live entertainment for the evening. This included an energetic performance from Acmatic which had the audience demanding an encore.

Everyone left the event socially and 'palatably' pleased.
