Relaxing background music awaits you at the Grog Shoppe located at the historic Devon House. They have been a part of the Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week for the last two years and this year will be even better.

Based on the great response they had last year, they have decided to get on board again for the biggest gastronomic event of the year. Owner and managing director, Tarquinio Caldarelli, told Food, "People look forward to coming to the Grog Shoppe, especially during Restaurant Week".

Surrounded by beautiful art décor and a serene atmosphere, chef Denise Evans is the woman at the helm of this year's Restaurant Week menu - a menu that includes tasty shrimp, chicken, pork and a wide range of other delectable offerings. "The chef's special is our featured boneless jerk pork cooked to perfection, served with creamed sweet potatoes and garlic callaloo. We also have the penne pasta with shrimp in which we use a rich heavy cream mixed with curry and other spices to really bring out the flavour of the dish," Evans explains.

"If you want value for money, this is definitely the place to come to during Restaurant Week," Caldarelli added. "The food is top-notch and we do pride ourselves on providing the very best food and service."
