Chas E Ramson gives discounts for Food Month

Chas. E. Ramson Limited is one of Jamaica's longest-standing distribution companies, founded by Charles Ernest Ramson in 1922. The company has grown from its humble beginnings of two employees, to over 130, by maintaining a strong complement of highly reputable brands.
During Food Month, Chas. E. Ramson Limited has partnered with The Gleaner Company and will be offering discounts on five different categories of items from their product line. Customers shopping at Progressive Grocers outlets will receive between 25 and 30 per cent discounts off the retail price on these items. These include deals on Cubbies diapers and wipes, Elle and Vire yogurt, Good Life Water, Blue Diamond Almond Milk, and Smucker's jams and jellies.
According to Advertising and Marketing Manager Kathryn Silvera, the company's participation in the Food Month activities is aimed at boosting awareness of its brands.
"We also want to provide consumers with an incentive to purchase our products, and hence, we have made the discounts attractive leading up to the Christmas season," Silvera explains.
GREAT FEEDBACK
According to Silvera, the feedback has been great so far. "The value of the exposure has been worthwhile. We will also be doing samplings and gift basket giveaways at the community events in partnership with The Gleaner," she said. The next event is slated for this Saturday, November 16, at the Progressive Grocers in Harbour View.
The company also owns and distributes its own line of products - Ramson's since 1986 and Sno White since 1989, while partnering in the production of Foska Oats since 1966.
In 2009, Chas. E. Ramson Limited launched its newest product, Cubbies, and has evolved from Charles Ramson operating as a manufacturer's representative to being a company officially distributing several major international brands.
