The St Ann's Bay Hospital and the organisation's scholarship fund are the main recipients of this year's charity event staged by the Ocho Rios/Runaway Bay Chapter of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA).

Held recently at the Roaring River Great House in St Ann, the moderate turnout was appreciated.

However, the hotels were not moderate in their donation of provisions for the event, with Jewel, Couples and Sandals brands leading the way.

Under the theme 'Phantom of the Opera', several persons donned masks for the occasion and some were rewarded for their efforts winning prizes and attractions which included. Mystic Mountain, Green Grotto Caves, Dolphin Cove, among others.

Among those who turned out were, from Mystic Mountain, Norma Bailey-Moore, Remone Danhi, Ricardo Allen along with Andrica Belcher and Dwayne Ricketts; Gilbert Blackwood and Shemoy Martin of Club Ambiance; Laura Heron and Janice Chong from the St Ann Development Corporation; and Carol Miller from Ilandestiny Tours and Travel.

Chapter president Vana Taylor was pleased with the support while predicting a good winter season for the Ocho Rios area.
