Food! Food!

1. The little lady is at it again. On her social rounds, she now approaches the caterer directly and asks for food to go. The rest of the family who did not attend the function will then feast on the goodies. Times are hard and some people are finding creative ways to survive.

Slow Christmas

2. Speaking of hard times, many business people say this is the worst Christmas they can ever recall. Stocks are not moving and it is not because people have shopped overseas. True, Internet buying may have had an impact, but the fact is people have no money and have no confidence that the future will be brighter, so they are ever mindful of the bills for January.

Overseas schools

3. Why is it that so many children of prominent Jamaicans have made their home overseas? It is not the usual party topic, but this one engaged many persons at a well-attended affair recently. Many found it ironic that these offspring did not feel comfortable living in the country which had been shaped and influenced by their parents. Interesting!

Prison garb

4. Questions have been raised about the men clad in orange jumpsuits since these garments have such an eerie resemblance to prison garb. Of course, prison labour would be among the cheapest anywhere in the world.
