Do you think the National Solid Waste Management Authority is doing enough to clean up the city of Montego Bay?
- Renee Anderson:
"No they aren't because if you pass, especially along Market Street and St James Street, at certain hours, the litter is overwhelming. Not to mention the fact that there aren't enough rubbish bins around the city to dispose of waste."
- Angella Wright:
"No, they are not doing enough because all around the city is dirty and stink. They need to come out more in the night and wash the road to prepare it for business and traffic in the morning."
- Nicholas Hayles:
"They are trying, but more can be done. More business persons need to come together and help clean up the town. We also need more garbage bins in the city. That would be helpful. Business persons should help to get more bins in the city."
- Patrick Nicholson:
"Solid Waste really a try dem best, but a di likkle individual man who go and do his own littering that is causing the problem. Solid Waste collects garbage from a designated spot. They need to resume street sweeping and cut down on informal vending because that is where most of the problem lies with the individual man. They are doing most of the littering."
- Maxine Scale:
"Me believe Solid Waste is doing dem best. Dem cleaning up di place, but the people dem uncontrollable - throwing away the garbage on the street and all a dat. Me believe the people need more containers in the town to throw their garbage in. They also need to be told how to control their garbage."
- Trevor Burke:
"Dem nah do dem work! Look there! All dem things should have been taken up from morning. The place should have been cleaned up already. They are lazy in doing their work. The garbage is getting stink on us. We want the place to clean up."
