On Tuesday night, business executives, members of government, and overseas guests converged on the Montego Suite at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel for the Opening Cocktail Reception for the ninth annual Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) Investments and Capital Markets Conference.

The three-day conference, which closed yesterday, was staged under the theme: 'From Productivity to Prosperity: Regional Survival and Growth through Investments'.

Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, who was the guest of honour, delivered the keynote address. Other speakers included Marlene Street-Forrest, general manager of the Jamaica Stock Exchange, and Managing Director Michael Fischer of Wall Street investment firm Oppenheimer. Official telecoms partner LIME treated guests to wireless Internet access using state-of-the-art Cloud solution from Meraki throughout the conference.

With glasses in hand and smiles on their faces, it was the perfect start to the conference.
