For over 20 years, the Jamaica College Old Boys Association (JCOBA) has held the annual Carlton Alexander Awards Gala Dinner at which two distinguished alumni are presented with this prestigious award in recognition of their outstanding professional and philanthropic endeavours.

The award is presented in honour of the late iconic businessman, humanitarian and Jamaica College alumnus, Carlton Alexander, OJ, and is the ultimate peer recognition given to Jamaica College graduates.

The outstanding 2014 awardees are Gary 'Butch' Hendrickson, managing director of Continental Baking Company, and Dr Jeffrey W. Meeks, acclaimed orthodontist and founder of Island Smiles Limited.

The awards will be presented to Hendrickson and Dr Meeks at JCOBA's 2014 Carlton Alexander Awards Dinner, a gala affair, on Wednesday June 18, 2014 at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel.

Many prominent Jamaicans are previous awardees, including Richard Byles, Karl Hendrickson, James 'Jimmy' Adams, former Prime Minister Bruce Golding, Dr Peter Phillips, and the late Maurice Facey.
