Fujitsu's head of Americas visits Ja
Mervyn Eyre, president and CEO, Fujitsu Caribbean, Central America and Mexico, hosted his new boss, Bob Pryor, head of Americas and corporate vice-president, Fujitsu Limited, at a CEO reception on Thursday, July 16.
Fujitsu America Inc became the parent company of Fujitsu Caribbean a few years ago, combining IT strengths of Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc, Fujitsu Consulting Inc, and Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation under a unified corporate structure. Pryor was accompanied on his trip by Matthew Goldman, senior vice-president, corporate strategy and marketing, in the Americas. This was Pryor's first time in the Caribbean, and he wanted to get a first-hand look at the region's operations of the multibillion dollar technology company, home-based in Japan.
Pryor and Goldman stopped in the eastern Caribbean before checking out the Jamaica operations. While here, they met with various stakeholders, including some from the Ministry of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining.
