Cop wanted
Investigators from the Anti Corruption Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) are looking for a police sergeant who is wanted on corruption charges.
Sergeant Patrick Williams, of the Elletson Road Police escaped while being accosted by detectives yesterday.
It is reported that Sergeant Williams stopped an overloaded taxi along Hagley Park Road in St. Andrew
The head of the Anti Corruption Branch, Assistant Commissioner Justin Felice said the policeman decided to prosecute the motorist.
He said the policeman seized the vehicle, but later offered to drop the charges against the motorist in exchange for $20,000.
ACP Felice said the taxi owner reported the matter to the Anti Corruption Branch and an undercover operation was set up to accost the sergeant.
