The National Works Agency (NWA) will be implementing temporary traffic changes between the Sangster’s International Airport round-a-bout and Flankers, St. James starting tomorrow through to Sunday.

Community Relations Officer for the NWA’s Western Region, Janel Ricketts, said “traffic would be diverted from the northern lanes to the southern lanes in the vicinity of the Sangster’s International Airport.”

“The changes are to facilitate the application of a second layer of asphalt on the existing roadway, which accommodates four lanes of traffic, but will be converted to two lanes during the period,” she added.

Motorists are advised to obey the posted warning signals and instructions of persons bearing flags.

Segment 2A of the Northern Coastal Highway Improvement Project, involves the widening and realignment of the 27 kilometre stretch between Greenside in Trelawny and Montego Bay in St. James.
