Manchester student stabbed

A fight between two male students from two high schools in Manchester turned deadly after a knife was used to stab one of the boys.



Dead is Omar Sushane, 16, of Bellefield High School, while a student of the Beaumont Comprehensive High School is in police custody.



The police said around 3 p.m. yesterday afternoon; the boys were involved in an argument on the compound of the Bellefield High School when a fight broke out between them.



A knife was reportedly used to stab Omar, who died while undergoing treatment at the Mandeville Hospital.



Meanwhile, the teenager implicated in Tuesday’s stabbing death of 16 year old Tavon Sewell in St. Ann’s Bay remains in police custody.



The police said he is to be transferred shortly to a place of safety.



Tavon, who died while undergoing treatment at hospital, was killed after he and the other boy were playing football at the Windsor Heights playfield in St. Ann.
