The Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions (JCTU) said negotiations for a wage agreement for public sector workers are now at the consultative stage.
Interim President of the JCTU, Wayne Jones said the various public sector groups are currently going over the draft agreement with their members.
Mr. Jones said he expects the consultations to end within another week and a half.
The latest wage offer from government is for a 15 percent increase in year one and seven percent in year two.
The new agreement will also address issues regarding productivity within the public sector.
The disabled are also set to benefit under the agreement.
