Classes resume at Holy Family

Classes at the Holy Family Primary School in downtown Kingston resumed this morning with a very low turn out of students.
Classes were suspended at the school following an upsurge in violence in the community earlier this week.
Six persons were shot and killed on Tuesday and three others yesterday.
Vice Principal at the School Gloria Pusey said less than 200 of the 1,165 students turned out for classes this morning.
Mrs. Pusey is concerned that the students who she said have been traumatised by the upsurge in violence are still to receive counselling.
The police have since stepped up their patrols and created a buffer zone in the community.
