TELSTAR gets new control system

The management of Telstar Limited says it has implemented a new cable control system in a bid to upgrade its infrastructure.

This follows the disruption in the cable company’s service earlier this week.

On Tuesday, scores of Telstar customers went to the company’s office on Constant Spring Road venting their anger over a decision by the management to disconnect their cable service for non-payment of bills.

However, the customers claimed that they had paid their bills.

The company then sought to explain the disruption claiming that it was caused by a global refresh of all its accounts.

Following the incident, managing director of Telstar, Florence Darby promised that the company would put measures in place to resolve the situation.

The company says its opening hours have been extended in an effort to efficiently deal with the matter.
