The Management of Air Jamaica has scheduled a meeting with the National Workers Union (NWU), for this week to deal with the outstanding issue of the implementation of a Management plan for the airline.
Last Monday, the union served a two-week ultimatum on the Management of Air Jamaica to implement a Management plan and to restructure the management group of the airline.
Air Jamaica chairman Shirley Williams said the delay in responding to the Union’s call was due to the unavailability of a senior member of the Air Jamaica team.
Vice President of the National Workers Union, Granville Valentine said the NWU has a mandate to get a positive response from the management regarding outstanding contract negotiations.
