Prime Minister Bruce Golding has admitted he was wrong in making certain comments regarding police killings on a recent BBC interview.

On Tuesday, General Secretary of the Police Federation, Corporal Hartley Stewart reacted strongly to the way Mr. Golding responded to questions posed by the host, Steven Sackur.

According to the federation the manner in which Mr. Golding answered the questions suggested he agreed with the host that the police are practicing extra-judicial killings.

Last night during his monthly call in programme ‘Jamaica House Live’, Mr. Golding apologised to the island’s police personnel for his comments.
