MP blast opposition

Member of Parliament for North East St. Catherine, Gregory Mair has blasted the People’s National Party for challenging the status of several government MPs who are alleged to have dual citizenship.



According to Mr. Mair the opposition has been engaged in a process, which is aimed at discrediting the constitutionality of the government.



Mr. Mair said the opposition is seeking to have the will of voters put a side and have candidates who were rejected by the people placed in parliament.



He said he hopes the leaders of the two political parties will meet in an effort to have the dual citizenship issue resolved.



Two weeks ago the opposition MP for North East St. Catherine, Phyllis Mitchell won a court appeal to pursue an election petition against Mr. Mair.
