The Clarendon police will be increasing its police presence along major road thoroughfares in the parish today.

This in response to the increasing motor vehicle crashes especially along the Bustamante Highway.

According to Deputy Superintendent of police in charge of operations, Patrick Murdock, motorists will be subject to increased checks and searches as the police step up their drive against persons who breach the road code.

He said the police would be looking out for those motorists who among other things conduct improper overtaking and operate defective motor vehicles.
