Unions representing workers at the national airline, Air Jamaica, are expected to meet with the management of the airline today to continue wage negotiations.

Vice President of the National Workers Union, NWU Granville Valentine said the unions are hoping that a satisfactory offer will be made to the workers at today’s meeting.

The airline is now in a better position to offer an increase in salary to the workers whose standard of living he claims have been seriously affected by the increase in cost of living, he added.

Mr. Valentine is also accusing the airline’s management of withholding certain important information from the unions regarding cost cutting exercises.

The National Workers Union, Bustamante Industrial Trade Union and the Union of Clerical Administrative and Supervisory Employees represent employees at the airline.
