Dead gunman

The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose decomposing body was retrieved from the sea in Portmore St. Catherine yesterday.



The police say a 9-millimeter pistol was found in his waistband after he was taken from the waters behind the Skeet Club.



He has been identified as Richard Pryce, also called Indian, a 30-year-old fisherman of a Seaview Gardens, Kingston, 11 address.



The police say they were alerted by fishermen who saw the body floating in the water.



The body was retrieved with the assistance of the Marine Police.



The police have disclosed that an on the spot post mortem revealed that death was caused by drowning.
