No foreign produce for Denbigh

The Agriculture Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton announced that there would be no foreign produce on display at the 56th staging of the Denbigh Agricultural Show in Clarendon, this year.



According to Dr Tufton, this year’s event is designed to showcase excellence in local agriculture.



Telecommunications Company Digicel announced that it will be increasing its sponsorship for the show from 1$10 to $12 million over the next three years.



It will cost $33.4 million to stage the Denbigh Agri Industrial Show this year.



The event will run from August 1 to 3 under the theme: ‘Eat what you grow, grow what you eat.’
