Sex police to be charged

Detectives for the Anti Corruption Branch are today expected to lay charges against a constable and corporal who are accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Portmore, St. Catherine last week.



Head of the Anti Corruption branch, assistant commissioner of police, Justin Felice told the Gleaner Power 106 News that the men will be charged today.



ACP Felice did not outline the charges but said five charges will be laid against the corporal and three against the constable.



He says the men could also appear before the courts today after they are charged.



The policemen were taken into custody last week after a woman reported that she was forced to perform oral sex on the men.



They are also accused of accepting a bribe from the woman and her male partner after finding them in a compromising position along Hellshire Beach.



Meanwhile, an investigation to determine why the policemen were allowed to leave the Greater Portmore police station after they were ordered detained in underway.
