Illegal firearms seized
Four men are now in police custody following the seizure of three illegal guns in Manchester and Clarendon yesterday.
One of the men has also been charged for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
Bryan Russell, 27, of Allman Town, Kingston has been charged with illegal possession of firearm and possession of ganja, after he was stopped by the police on the New Melrose Bypass in Manchester yesterday morning.
Three men were also arrested and two guns seized at Morgan Forrest District in Clarendon during a police operation.
Charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition are Joel Maxwell, 19, of Mike Town, Manchester, Renaldo Palier, 23, of Lester Field and Omar Taylor, 22, also of Race Track district, both in Clarendon.
The police said during the operation a house was searched and the firearms, a point 45 revolver and a point 45 pistol along with 21 cartridges and two 12 gauge cartridges were found.
